Business casual hasn’t gotten any less confusing since the hybrid work schedule took over the corporate world. There’s the Friday Zoom mullet (button-down shirt up top, whatever down below), but deciding what to wear Tues-Thurs (or Mon-Wed, your mileage may vary) can take a lot of guesswork. But at least the footwear is easy, thanks to Amberjack.

The brand has made a name for itself with ridiculously comfortable dress shoes that won’t have you feeling overdressed on casual Friday but will keep you looking your best for that in-person meeting you forgot about.

Their signature style is appropriately dubbed “The Original,” and features a derby-style dress shoe upper with a comfortable sneaker-inspired sole. It’s available in an enormous array of colors and materials, so even your nosiest desk neighbor won’t know you’re wearing the same shoe five days a week.

The brand has since gone vertical, releasing new boot styles that aren’t just for the office. The Chelsea features a dressy upper with an elasticated gusset that makes it easy to slip on and off, and Amberjack’s sneaker-inspired sole makes it the ideal shoe for the airport or to wear on the weekends.

The Boot is available in two styles: full-grain leather and nubuck. There are seven colors to choose from, and sizes run from 7-15.

The Chelsea features an easy-to-slip-on design (though we wish they added a heel tab). They’re available in sizes 7-15 and come in a whopping 11 colorways. The Chelsea is available in full-grain leather, Italian suede, or nubuck.

The Boot is a traditional cap-toe lace-up boot available in nubuck or leather and in a wide range of colors. The styles are simple, but there’s a lot under the hood—the uppers are made from full-grain leather with a sheepskin lining, and the shoes are manufactured in Portugal.

The soles feature heat-activated arch support, meaning that they’ll get more comfortable with wear, conforming to your foot with minimal break-in time. A dual-density TPU outsole creates sneaker-like comfort. The sole and heel feature a grippy tread for stability in any scenario.

The boots are made from substantial leather, and the soles are comfortably cushioned without feeling squishy. Amberjack’s boots aren’t typical hybrid sneaker boots, with a dressy upper slapped on a flat sole. They’re boots first, with a heeled wedge sole that borrows design elements from work boots, sneakers, and dress shoes alike. The heel has a cutout for additional cushioning, and the contoured shape provides comfort in the right places. That means they maintain a professional look, with compromising on comfort.

Ultimately, what you get with Amberjack’s boots is comfort, work and weekend-ready style, and premium details like full-grain leather and Portuguese manufacturing.
